This group emerged in early 2014 with the authorship and sale of the Necurs rootkit, distinguishing itself by providing infrastructure for other cybercriminal entities. Their primary motivation is financial gain, achieved through enabling large-scale spam operations and propagating diverse forms of fraudulent schemes. The group ceased its main operations in March 2019 following technical actions taken against its botnet infrastructure.
