Taidoor is a Chinese government-sponsored cyber espionage group that first emerged in 2008 and is known for its persistent, long-term access to compromised networks for intelligence gathering purposes. The group primarily targets government organizations, corporations, and think tanks with a specific interest in Taiwan, but has also expanded its operations to other regions. While often referred to by its signature malware, Taidoor, the group is also tracked under aliases such as Earth Aughisky, G0015, and Taurus RAT, and has evolved its tactics to include a broader range of malware families and living-off-the-land techniques over time.
