Domestic Kitten, also known by the aliases APT-C-50 and Bouncing Golf, is an Iranian state-sponsored cyber espionage group active since at least 2016. The group's primary motivation is information theft and surveillance, specifically targeting Iranian citizens deemed threats to the current regime. This includes internal dissidents, opposition forces, ISIS advocates, and the Kurdish minority. What distinguishes Domestic Kitten is its consistent and extensive reliance on mobile malware, often disguised as legitimate applications, to conduct pervasive surveillance on targeted mobile devices.
